This Christain Voice website shows how brutal Britain is becoming today. It gives the lie to those who maintain things are no worse than they have always been. It shows a level of depravity unimaginable twenty, ten, even five years ago. And it is getting worse as our rebellion to God gets worse.

We lay the blame squarely on generations of politicians who have legislated against the laws of God, against His institution of the family, against all that is right and true and just.

In July 1969, the then Home Secretary, Roy Jenkins, said "a better name for the permissive society is the civilised society." You decide how civilised we have become. And then, as you listen to our current crop of MPs and other representatives of the ruling class, judge whether any of their measures to combat the state we are in will do anything for the better.

Once you conclude they do not have a clue, join us in praying for our nation to turn back to God. We call that National Repentance. It is a realisation that man's laws have failed and that only God's laws allow society to function in peace and prosperity. It is a matter of being humble before a holy God.

It is a 'back-to-the-constitution' view where Jesus Christ, King of kings, Lord of lords, is the only hope for our increasingly dysfunctional nation. As we pray and stand up for Jesus, we believe God can even now work a miracle, by replacing the Government with men after His own heart.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. - 2 Peter 2:19

One of the consequences of our land rejecting God’s laws is that we have handed sovereignty over to the state. Instead of insisting that the role of government is to simply preserve law and order (Rom. 13), the people of Britain have stood by and allowed the state to micromanage their personal lives.

No longer can it be said that we live in a free country. The legislative hyperactivity pouring out of Westminster has turned Britain into a surveillance society. From thought control legislation to mandatory ID cards, modern Britain is becoming a society that would do George Orwell’s prophecies proud.
